Private Hospital

Overview

The TropiQ health ecosystem can be developed to its fullest potential through a combination of private and public medical and health education.

A multi-stage private hospital development is proposed that will encourage clinical training, strengthen research partnerships and improve access to care for local communities. The proposed private facility within the TropiQ precinct will be sited close to the Townsville University Hospital and also in proximity to James Cook University Medical School.

Location and scale

The co-location of public and private health and hospital services and medical and health education will allow the TropiQ health ecosystem to be developed to its fullest potential serving the city, the region, Northern Australia. A staged development is planned, initially providing around 100 beds.
